Kathleen Duffy, LPN, MH, CCA/P,
owner of the HERBARIUM, spent many
years in area hospitals in the emergency rooms, I.C.U. and other critical
care departments, but felt there was more people could do for their health.
As a nurse and medical herbalist she began the HERBARIUM as a way of
offering people an alternative to regular medical and health care.
Kathy has been a nurse since 1965, a medical
herbalist since 1980 and after more than two years of intensive study she
became a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist in 1997. Kathy has taught in many
area colleges and medical facilities. She is currently an adjunct facility
at Springfield Technical Community College.
In 1980, Kathy began her radio career as a featured monthly guest. By
1992 she began hosting her own call-in radio program, "Herbs For Health and
Healing with Kathy Duffy".
Kathy brings the latest research and information about herbal healing,
nutritional therapies and good old fashioned folk wisdom to her show. Her
vast knowledge on complementary medicine and her truly caring approach has
helped make her one of the most recognized herbalists in New England.
